“The fishing up here almost always gets better after a storm like that. And that's got a lot to do with the pressure changes. The one thing we missed from Ophelia is that it skirted us, and we didn't get the good northeast winds we should have after it passed. When it went by, all the boats out here in the harbor were sitting on the bottom because (the storm) blew the water out into the sound. But we didn't get the cooler air in here behind it.”
“We've always had access to the area for the mullet run. This is the first time in the history of the island that the area has been closed this time of the year.”
