“Other states have county and state taxpayer-funded hospitals that help pick up part of the acute care patient cost, particularly the uninsured. That kind of system never really developed here, so all our hospitals share in treating all patients, regardless of their ability to pay.”
“It's old, outdated and there's no parking. This will be a dramatic improvement. We know the town is looking to have buildings brought closer to the street, making them more pedestrian friendly. We had to go to the Zoning Board of Appeals to obtain a variance for the building to be located in close proximity to the road.”
