“It showed a tremendous amount of character. We hung in there. We had a little bit of a tough second period, but not horrible, and then we were able to come back in the third. We kept fighting back and we stayed in the game. We had a pretty solid effort.”
“It has to be, because we take too many bad penalties. If we continue to do that and not learn our lesson, we're going to be in trouble. But the penalty killing definitely came up big tonight.”
“It was far more interesting than we wanted, but we're happy we got two points. We obviously can't continue to play like that and expect to win our games, so we're going to have to learn our lesson.”
“We're starting to get our guys back who were hurt, which is great, although it gives us a lot of decisions to make. There's competition on defense for who's going to be in the lineup each and every night, which is good.”
“It gives us quality players back there and lots of depth. For a while there, we were playing with five 'D' – for a whole month, I think – and for a while we played with four 'D' for a little bit. You need the depth as you move on.”
