“But we really do. If you go into the schools, you can see they're overcrowded. If you walk into the hallways, you can see they're overcrowded. The county is not shrinking. They're (community members) not moving out. They're moving in and having kids.”
“This is something this community needs. It is quite possible that some of the businesses will see it that way. Their work force comes from Blount County as well as Maryville and Alcoa. It is in their best interests to have schools that are not overcrowded.”
