“Everything that I wanted to say in my statement was not permitted and that's not just me. That's everybody else from our family. You really are very limited with what you can say to the defendant. However, his family was permitted to address me however they chose. But I wasn't allowed to say my opinion on the death penalty, what I thought of Daryl, what I thought should happen to Daryl. We weren't permitted to do that, so victims really have very limited rights.”
