“It started as a joke. [Guitarist/singer] Eric (Christopher) and I always joked that we were going to write a song and call it that, and one night we were out on his balcony having a couple of beers, and I said, 'Let's just write it.' So we did, and it turned out to be this catchy little punk song. There's no real meaning to it; it's more of an emotional outburst.”
“We all grew up on music and we all lean in a certain direction -- we're all fans of '90s alternative rock, we're all fans of The Beatles and we're all fans of Zeppelin -- but we could go anywhere from there. If somebody comes up with something good, we don't say it has to sound like this or that. We don't like having a 'formula.' We want our own identity, so we don't hold ourselves back on anything.”
“I think we sound different from a lot of stuff on the radio. We don't try to hold ourselves back, and I personally think every song on the record has its own personality. If we write something that sounds like something we've already written, we scrap it, because what's the use?”
