“What impressed me most is that we didn't stop competing. When we play the level of competition that we do, it's important for us to keep competing. That's only going to help us when we come to conference play.”
“We're definitely excited for our season to start. Everybody's itching to get outside and get some games in. We would like to get outside and get more practice in, but the weather just hasn't been nice enough yet. The ground is still frozen, which makes doing anything other than shagging down fly balls pretty hard. Hopefully when we head to Colorado, we'll have nice weather. We're all definitely looking forward to the trip.”
“Morris threw very hard and it took us a while to try and catch up to her. Their hitting was better than ours today, but defensively, we played much better than we did in Colorado and that was encouraging to me.”
“When you're not getting base-runners, it makes for a long day in the field at times. I thought Kim and Jen each pitched well, they didn't walk a bunch of hitters. Valley City hit the ball really well. We're looking at trying to get better and playing these teams will help us do that.”
“Kim pitched well. They started to getting to her later in the game, and we had an error in the third inning. If we can get out of the inning without an error, we give up maybe a couple runs instead of five.”
