“I just think, in the playoffs, it's a matter of executing. Every team comes in even and you start thinking about the seeding and you have to look at that one evening (game) and only that one evening and not past that point.”
“Whether you're seeded No. 1 or 2 or 3, you have to go in with the same focus. I won't use negative things to focus the girls because that doesn't work for us and this is a different team.”
“I'm sure it's a good thing for both of us because we're both pretty familiar with what we do and, when you get to this point of the year, you don't change anything. We're both pretty familiar with each other and I don't expect too many surprises and I'm sure they won't get any surprises from us because we'll do the same things we've done all year.”
“I just think you have to focus on what got you here. In the playoffs there are so many upsets in the first round, a team feels pressure because things don't flow the way you want them to and you don't get the rhythm you had during the season.”
“The layoff is always hard and we felt as if we were rusty in the first half as well, and it took us a while to get through that. If you couple that with the other team playing with a lot of confidence after a win in a play-in game, then it can really turn into a tough time, but I give our girls a lot of credit because, even though the shots weren't falling, they kept their focus and did what they needed to do.”
