“I am having discussions regarding the mandatory use of visors in our league with the stakeholders in our league, which includes the team owners, league personnel, the players' association and the National Hockey League. Unfortunately, it takes an incident like that to refocus attention on the issue.”
“I'm sure there's going to be resistance, but it's probably time we headed in that direction. My opinion won't necessarily carry the day, but I'll have a say and think its time has probably come, even if we have to grandfather it in for some players. You're never going to take all the risk out of the game, but if we take a really rational approach, I think it will work.”
