“Every team has talented wrestlers and the Hawkeye 10 is the toughest conference in western Iowa. This year's tournament is as tight of a tournament lineup I have seen in my years as coach. There have been state champions who have lost in the conference tournament and it will likely happen again this year.”
“We talked about how important this last conference meet is to our seniors. We motivated the kids by emphasizing the importance of our seniors wrestling well in their last conference tournament.”
