“We were working hard during the (holiday) break, and we came out and we were ready to play. We came out really hot in the first half, and we had it from there.”
“I think we were a little bit overwhelmed by the atmosphere, but we came back and I'm so proud of the girls. It's a big weight off our shoulders to know we're now definitely going to state, but we also know there's still a lot of hard work ahead of us. We're going to take it one game at a time at state.”
“We definitely don't think about it like we're the favorite; not at all. We know every game is going to be tough and we're going to have to play hard every time. We're definitely going there to win, but we're taking it one game at a time.”
“Everybody was really welcoming and friendly. They made me feel welcome at all times. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. (The transition) was really easy for me.”
“I knew Amanda was out (in the first quarter), and I had to take control a bit and just be a good leader. I wanted to make good decisions so my teammates could follow, and I think they did a good job.”
“I think we didn't play our style of basketball in the second half. I don't know what happened, but you have to give credit to them because they played good defense and took us out of our game.”
